We are seeking a Maintenance Technician/Fabricator. Pay is based upon skills and experience.

 

Responsibilities:

Maintenance position with heavy emphasis on fabricating. This position will be full-time. Dayshift schedules are 4 10-hour shifts alternating and Second and Third Shifts are 5 8-hour shifts.  Overtime is required based on production needs. Weekend work will be required as needed.

  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop equipment. MIG, TIG, Stick and Gas Welding.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform general machine maintenance

Requirements:

  • Maintenance experience required, a minimum of 5 years preferred
  • Must communicate well, written and verbally
  • Must be a steady, reliable worker and able to work effectively with others
  • Participate in trouble shooting and problem resolution

Job Type & Pay

Full-time.  Pay per hour depending on training, experience, and shift.  Additional Shift Differential for Second & Third Shifts.

Schedule

We have three shifts and overtime and weekends as needed based on production needs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing industrial environment.  
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 10 -12 hours per shift.
  • Good Attendance & Punctuality.
  • Able to work overtime as needed based on production needs.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (steel toed/composite boots, safety glasses, ear protection, etc.)
  • Must be able to work at the Winchester, VA location (no relocation provided).
