Some delicate products such as fish cannot tolerate the collapsing inside edge of standard turn curve belts for fear of product damage. For these applications, Space Saver Omni-Grid is the perfect solution. Space Saver Omni-Grid is the perfect solution since it's inside edge doesn't collapse when negotiating a turn. Instead, the pitch of the inside edge remains constant while the outside edge expands. The advantage of this process is two-fold: the product does not get wrinkled or damaged and there is no need to provide spacing between product rows to compensate for belt collapse.

All Omni-Grid Family components are precision crafted from premium quality stainless steel to exacting standards. The finish is smooth and burr-free for quick and easy cleaning, maximizing production. Space Saver Omni-Grid is constructed with a dual row of heavy duty, non-collapsing links on the inside edge, with a long pitch-collapsing link on the outside edge. Available in 3/4 " pitch, 1.7:1 turn ratio or 1" pitch, 2.2:1 turn ratio variants, Space Saver Omni-Grid is recognized as the food processing conveyor belting of choice for transporting delicate products.

BROAD RANGE OF OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES
Primarily used in the food processing industry for freezing, cooling and proofing, Super Small Radius Omni-Grid stainless steel belts can be manufactured with optional Omni-Tough wire mesh overlay (various mesh options available). Omni-Tough provides a significant improvement over conventional wire overlays by offering increased product support. High tensile strength steel construction also offers superior resistance to impact damage and deformation due to product sticking and freezing.

Special Spirals (patented), used as Guard Edges, lane dividers and flights, can be added to any Omni-Tough overlay at the time of fabrication. These formed wire spirals are economical and efficient in operation, performing better than stamped metal plates in most applications.

EXTENDED BELT LIFE AND SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE
Typically, initial wear and elongation (break-in) of a new metal conveyor belt is rapid, reducing the belt's life span and requiring maintenance work to shorten the belt. To minimize these problems, Ashworth belting engineers designed the patented Wear Resistant Link, standard on all Omni-Grid belts. The unique "coining" feature on the Wear Resistant Link reduces elongation by nearly 50%. The coining feature also prevents the initial break-in wear between the rod and the link, reducing belt maintenance requirements and increasing belt life. The increased life of your new metal belt can be dedicated to conveying your product!

  • Variable Loop Count Overlay (Patented)

    Overlay which has varied loop spacing across the width of the belt allows the loops to get progressively closer together as the spiral goes from the inside of the belt to the outside of the belt (inside and outside in respect to a turn).
