Stronger Conveyor Belt also Reduces Wear
Ashworth adds a 1 ½-inch pitch option to Omni-Pro® line of spiral/turn-curve conveyor belts.

08/11/09

WINCHESTER, Va. — Ashworth Bros., Inc. has introduced a 1½-inch pitch Omni-Pro® link to extend the Omni-Pro® line of spiral/turn-curve conveyor belts. The 1½-inch pitch Omni-Pro 150 retains the same design features that allow the belt to minimize cage bar wear, maintenance costs and downtime in your most demanding high-tension spiral applications. “Expanding the Omni-Pro® line reflects Ashworth’s commitment to meet today’s processing demands,” comments Marty Tabaka, Ashworth’s Sales Director. He continues, “Now everyone who has relied on the trusted performance of Omni-Grid can benefit from the advantages of Omni-Pro®.”

Omni-Pro® is one of the strongest belts on the market today and the Omni-Pro 150 withstands spiral/turn-curve tensions of 400 pounds (136 kg) for 100,000 cycles vs. competing belts that rate for 50,000 cycles. The increased strength of the Omni-Pro® comes from the new 360° buttonless weld technology utilizing a “zero tension” design which allows a higher load bearing capacity. Unlike a traditional bridge weld, the 360° buttonless weld is free from surface imperfections and crevices which improves hygienic characteristics by eliminating the possibility of bacteria entrapments. Omni-Pro’s state-of-the-art link design includes a patented “protrusion leg” preventing welds from contacting spiral cage bars and permits the belt to run smoother with less system wear. Each link is formed with a patented coining process to prevent break-in wear, reducing belt elongation and increasing belt life. Turn ratios range from 1.6 to 2.5 and belt widths are available in even widths from 24 to 60 inches.

Ashworth Bros., Inc. is the only conveyor belt company that engineers, manufactures, and services both metal and plastic belting to offer customers the best solution for their specific requirements. Companies around the world depend on Ashworth’s quality products, reliable customer service, and innovative solutions to maximize throughput and minimize lifecycle costs. With over 60 years of innovating the future of conveyor belts, Ashworth continues to lead the market with the most conveyor belt patents in the food processing, can making, and material handling industries.

New! Omni-Pro™ 075
Ashworth Expands the Omni-ProTM Line with a ¾-inch pitch option.

12/10/08
Ashworth Bros., Inc. has introduced a ¾-inch pitch Omni-Pro link in response to the success of the Omni-Pro line of spiral/turn-curve conveyor belts. Omni-Pro 075 retains the same design features that allow the belt to minimize cage bar wear, maintenance costs and downtime in the most demanding high-tension spiral applications. "The addition of Omni-Pro 075 reflects Ashworth's commitment to meet today's processing demands," comments Ashworth's Sales Director, Marty Tabaka. He continues, "Now everyone who has relied on the trusted performance of ¾-inch pitch Omni-Grid can benefit from the advantages of Omni-Pro." The increased strength of the Omni-Pro comes from the 360° buttonless welds utilizing a "zero tension" design which allows a higher load bearing capacity. Unlike a traditional bridge weld, the 360° buttonless weld is free from surface imperfections and crevices which improve hygienic characteristics by eliminating the possibility of bacteria entrapments. Omni-Pro's state-of-the-art link design includes a patented "protrusion leg" that prevents welds from contacting spiral cage bars and permits the belt to run smoother with less system wear. Each link is formed with a patented coining process to prevent break-in wear, reducing belt elongation and increasing belt life. Omni-Pro is one of the strongest belts on the market today; all Ashworth belts are tested at 100,000 cycles (competition tests for 50,000 cycles) and Omni-Pro 075 has been proven to continuously withstand tensions of 100 pounds (45 kg). Marked by more patents in the industry than any other belting manufacturer, Ashworth Bros., Inc. continues innovating conveyor belt technologies to increase efficiency for processing industries. Ashworth utilizes both metals and plastics to engineer conveyor belts that increase throughput and minimize downtime for the most demanding applications.

One Inch Pitch Omni-Pro 100
Our newest member of the Omni-Pro Family

12/6/07
Ashworth is proud to introduce our new ONE inch pitch Omni-Pro 100 - the newest member of our Omni-Pro family! Based on the overwhelming success of the introduction of our patented Omni-Pro line, Omni-Pro 100 retains all of the patented design features of Omni-Pro 120. The Omni-Pro line was introduced 3 years ago and is running Smoother, Stronger and Longer in spirals all over the world! Omni-Pro 100 has been tested to continuously withstand tensions of 200 lbs. for over 100,000 cycles, making it the strongest one-inch pitch grid belt in the industry! Its added strength comes from our patented link design that incorporates a 360° rod-to-link "zero-tension" weld. The rod end is completely melted and fused into the link by robotic welders, creating perfect welds every time. Omni-Pro's patented "protrusion leg" feature prevents the belt's welds from coming into contact with spiral cage bars, resulting in a smoother running spiral generates less system wear, increasing reliability. Omni-Pro 100 can be outfitted with reduced radius links to achieve turn ratios as low as 1.7:1. And, when equipped with Ashworth's new Integral Guard Edges, your product stays on the belt!

BISSC Certified Belts Keep Bakeries Moving
Ashworth Advantage 120/200, Advantage RL75 and Omni-Pro Belts now BISSC Third Party Verified

4/9/07

Confirming Ashworth's dedication to sanitary design and food safety, three of the company's primary spiral/turn-curve conveyor belts used in bakery operations are now BISSC Third Party Verified. Belts meeting the strict design criteria for BISSC certification are the hybrid Advantage 120/200 series and Advantage RL 75, as well as the all-metal Omni-Pro.

All three belts are BISSC Certified and Third Party Verified under BISSC standard ANSI/BISSC/Z50.2-2003, Section 4.7, Design Requirements for Conveyors. Compliance to this standard is the commercial baker's guarantee that his bakery equipment was carefully designed to be easily and effectively cleaned, thereby promoting food safety and sanitation.

About BISSC
The BISSC (Baking Industry Sanitation Standards Committee) was formed in 1949 to develop and publish voluntary standards for the design and construction of bakery equipment which today are recognized as the definitive sanitation standards for equipment used in the baking industry. In 2003, working with the American Society of Baking (AIB), BISSC developed an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard for the design of bakery equipment.
